Daily Photo Tour - Just the Right Light

I have been so very privileged to be standing on Main Street at this time at night. Seriously look at the time on that clock! It's rather difficult these days to close out the park like this, but I always cherish the times we do. The easiest part about what we do when we shoot in Disneyland is the lighting. You just have to look for it. We don't have to spend hours setting up fancy lighting equipment and figuring out how we want to light a scene. All that hard work has already been done for us, by the imagineers of course. We get to do the easy part, set up and take the shot. The exterior lighting around Disneyland at night is a mix up of simplicity, mood, and focus. If you think about it, everything in Disneyland is lit either to draw your attention to it, or to create an ambiance and set a mood. And this is all done in the simplest form. And then we come to Main Street U.S.A., which is one of the most heart-warming and beautiful places in Disneyland. I love watching guests leave the park as they skip down Main Street and enjoy the lighted spectacle. There is always that mood when you're leaving the park, the soft cast of all those tiny little bulbs that radiate just the right amount of light.

Lovely photo... When I'm in the park I tend to go for pseudo-artsy shots of things behind things at weird angles, but you guys are perfect at catching mood shots of the park. Fantastic!

It is funny, I saw this picture the day you posted it but never commented on it. I should have, but did not only because I saw it on the day I was making my way back home from a Disneyland Vacation with my little brother and his friends, ( I say little brother even though he is 7 inches taller then me and almost 21, LOL) but I was shocked by it. In a good way. I was shocked because it was not 24 hours before I saw this picture you had posted that I was standing on Main Street looking at that exact store and thinking of all the other times I had closed down the park or *looks guiltily around* lingered after shift to have that street all to my self. There is just such a surrealness about Main Street, especially when you have it to your self, it is like being back in time to a time where life was a little simpler and much slower, not just turn of the century but also to Walt's time. Now back to the present because it was January and a Thursday it was no where near that time, but it was almost 9:15 and I had the majority of Main Street USA to myself. Sorry for the rambling I just needed to share that interesting story. Well I am done rambling and taking up your time.

Great picture amazing shot, Thanks for sharing your passion with Disneynerds like myself!
