Daily Photo Tour - Mickey's Mailbox
You may have noticed that I have a thing for mailboxes. I didn't even know that Mickey had his own mailbox in Toontown. You'd be surprised how excited I was when I found this out. I think the most intriguing thing about the Disneyland mailboxes is that you can actually send a letter from inside the park to anyone in the world. The mail just gets routed to Anaheim Post Office. I've never done this before, but I think it would be a really fun way to communicate!

Daily Photo Tour - An Evening in Toontown
Toontown is its best at night. Not just because kids have petered out and left it quite open, though that in itself creates a different and unusual atmosphere there. Toontown's colors and textures pop most after the sun has set. The land takes on life that's as electric as the Gag Factory surprise door. The caveat attached to this reminder is that Toontown is typically closed at night for the fireworks so it can be hit or miss to see it. Make sure and enjoy it if you do!

Daily Photo Tour - Riding for the First Time
I remember the first time I rode a "real" roller coaster. I was completely scared out of my mind! It wasn't anything like Gadget's Go Coaster that you see here. Oh no. It was Montezooma's Revenge at Knott's Berry Farm. I was around twelve or thirteen if I remember right. As a really young lad, I always viewed riding roller coasters as something I would never have the courage to do. I've learned in my experience that almost everything I've set out to never do, ends up manifesting itself in my life, in some form or another. It's a great lesson I've learned. One I'd like to put to the test here.
I will not meet the woman of my dreams before the year ends.

P.S. Deal with that, destiny.

Daily Photo Tour - No One But Donald Duck
If there are still any questions out there about who's got the sweetest disposition, I'd like to settle that right now. There's no need to guess. Hands down, it's this gentleman, er... gentleduck? You know what I mean. Running through Mickey's Toontown on a quiet morning, I was on a mission to take a few pictures of character houses. When I got to Donald's, he was occupied taking pictures with guests. I stooped out of the way to get a shot of "Miss Daisy". It took all of ten seconds before Donald came over to me playfully gesturing that he would pose for a picture. I'm all about staying out of the way to make sure that people who might not get to enjoy Disneyland as often as I do have priority, but it really made my morning for him to make some time for me. Thanks Donald!

Daily Photo Tour - Time to Trim the Tree
With just one week left in November, it's time to pull out the Christmas decorations. Disney managed to do it weeks ago. It was so convincing, in fact, that Santa stopped by yesterday, mistakenly thinking it was already that time. Fortunately, Christmas at Disneyland lasts not just long enough to experience it, but to savor it.

Daily Photo Tour - Into the Treehouse
It's very rare that the three of us trek back all the way into Toontown, but every once in a while, a situation calls for it. It's always lovely to see Toontown in the gorgeous bright sun light. I feel that I become more like a kid again in this wacky place. I caught this shot of the enormous Chip 'n Dale Treehouse a few days ago. It definitely brings back memories of watching Rescue Rangers at 6 o'clock in the morning before going to school. But, then again, that was just last week...

Daily Photo Tour - Christmas Symphony
"Not a creature was stirring, except for a mouse..." That's how the classic Christmas story reads at Disneyland anyway. This magical place that becomes even more magical at Christmas time was all started by a mouse. That's what Walt never wanted us to lose sight of. If you're wondering what silly symphony Mickey's about to strike up, well it would have to be "Happy Birthday" today, because it's Walt's birthday. Though the man is gone, his legacy lives on through a mouse and millions the world over at Christmas and always.

Daily Photo Tour - Welcome to Mickey's Toontown
It's not very often we get a chance to head into Toontown, but when we do, we soon realize the amazing atmosphere that engulfs this crazy, wacky, toontastic land. Yes, toontastic. Say it. Like it. Love it. Saying it is about as much fun as bouncing in Goofy's Bounce House, zipping around on Gadget's Go Coaster, or interacting with the owners of the many local shops in and around Toontown. So next time you are in Toontown think of the word toontastic, use it in a sentence, but whatever you do, don't open the door at the Toontown Power Company. We've warned you.

Daily Photo Tour - Toontown Depot
I've always wondered why Disneyland didn't include some sort of thematic tunnel entrance during the transition into Toontown while riding the Disneyland Railroad. The station here seemed to catch my attention as the classic Southern California Golden rays shined through illuminating the trees.

Daily Photo Tour - A Goofy Christmas
Toontown was not our first choice for photographing Christmas at Disneyland, but after a suggestion, we decided to check it out. The vibrancy of all the colors in culmination with the Christmas decor made for a really fun subject. The colors were immutable beneath the gloomy clouds and everything seemed to scream, Merry Christmas!

Daily Photo Tour - The Five & Ten, Glistening Again
It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas. Perhaps it has for some time now, but that is the song that sprung into my head whilst at Disneyland the other evening. Certainly everywhere you go in the park is looking like Christmas, even Toontown, in it's animated style. So here's to five and tens glistening again, and to making bells ring with carols that we sing within our hearts.
