Daily Photo Tour - Model of Independence

It's the start of the 4th of July weekend and what could be more fitting than to pay a visit to The Disneyland Story Presents - Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln? This model of the Capitol building sits in the middle of the room, gently lit as if to remind us of the frailty of liberty. The memory of our forefathers and what they stood for seems to dwindle with each passing generation. Freedom is taken for granted by many while brave men and women serve our nation to preserve it. This is the time of year when we call that to remembrance and say that we are proud to be American. With as much of a stigma as that seems to carry these days, we must remind ourselves of one of our greatest achievements - innovation that comes from the freedom to imagine anything. Disney Parks and the Walt Disney Company serve as tangible reminders of what dreams can become reality with the freedom and courage to pursue them. If we strive for that, maybe we can remove some of that stigma and restore some national pride.
