Daily Photo Tour - Midnight at the Mansion
The creepiness of the Haunted Mansion is unparalleled. Have you ever visited The Haunted Mansion at midnight? It's pretty awesome, and just down right scary! What's amazing about this place is that every angle is epic. There doesn't seem to be a vantage point that doesn't show The Haunted Mansion is one of the scariest places on earth.

The Mansion is a perfect example of how Disney Imagineers design not only for the initial appearance, but for DEPTH as well. No other place does this, as far as I know, and it is one of the reasons we love Disney so much! They obviously CARE about quality and take pride in what they create.
I often think about how they have to make sure their installations can stand up to not only guest scrutiny, but guest PRESSURE. There's an art and a science in designing something that can take the constant flow of humanity that comes through it and still look great day after day, year after year. This is different than simply creating a "set" for a movie that only has to serve its purpose for a short time. Hat's off to the Imagineers!
Depth of design is also why my son can spend HOURS photographing one small corner of the park... I'm CERTAIN you understand his passion!
