Daily Photo Tour - Inside Indiana Jones

The brakes may be needing a little adjustment? Not this time Sallah. I've never been completely stopped on a Disneyland attraction, until recently. And of course it would be the ride that seems to always be closed, Indiana Jones and the Temple of the Forbidden Eye. Everything was happening as it always does. Our jeep crossed the bridge, circled around the skull room, and dropped down beneath the giant bridge. But then something interesting happened. Suddenly those brakes really did work, and we came to a screeching halt. The music stopped, and the lights came on. I felt like a little boy in a candy shop. I quickly grabbed my camera and twisted my body around as far as I could and fired off about a million shots. In about five minutes a maintenance worker came around and told us it would be a few minutes. I told him to take his time. I was soaking up a moment. New goal, get stuck on Pirates of the Caribbean. Yes. I can dream can't I?

Awesome! I was stuck on Space Mountain for about 45 minutes back in 2001, and for about 20 minutes last year. I loved it! Great photo.

We've been stuck on Matterhorn and got to climb down the inside of the mountain, Splash Mountain which we walked through the inside of the ride and around backstage before exiting into the park, and most recently Small World for about 30 minutes we just sat in our boat listening to the music over and over again until it started again.

Matterhorn and Splash were both awesome! I love getting to see anything behind the scenes at Disney! Small World was a little less fun but we tried to make the best of it and get everyone around us to sing along but not very many people joined us!

I have been stuck on Pirates twice, actually. The first time, our boat got stuck when it was about to go down the big drop. The lights came on and a cast member came out and told us to rock the boat, and idiots that we were, we started rocking side to side. No, he meant back and forth. So, we started calling out, "FORWARD, BACKWARD," as a boat unit until we finally made it down the hill. The second time, we got stuck near the end of the ride and had to be escorted off and went backstage. Very fun break down moments. I also got stuck on Indiana Jones for 45 minutes, but nowhere near as exciting as where you were. We were at the beginning of the ride and were the last ones taken off. Got a lot of reading done, though.

just found this... I didn't get stuck on the Pirates ride, but one better. We did the entire ride with the lights on!! Believe it or not, it was my first time on the ride. Afterwards I thought "I don't know why people love this ride". Then later that day I got to go again, but with the lights off. WOW what an amazing ride. Has to be one of my favs!
