Daily Photo Tour - Explorer Canoes for the Frontier King in You

I might be in the minority, but I love the canoes. It's the only ride where whether you make it back or not is up to you, sort of... More than that I love that it's titled after a man I greatly admire, Davy Crockett, the real one and Fess Parker's. I always root for the standup guy. His slogan, which are truly words to live by, "Be sure you're right, then go ahead." Don't be afraid of stepping out into the unknown or the opposed, so long as you're sure you're right.

Daily Photo Tour - Rest on the Rivers of America

There are few places I've found in Disneyland that make me forget I am in a theme park. This is one of them. Simple, but so peaceful, this spot near the Hungry Bear Restaurant leaves me at rest after a long day of hustling about. The canoes on The Rivers of America is one of my favorite rides at Disneyland. Where else can you hop in a vessel with a dozen strangers and get berated by a Disney Cast Member?..... Oh yeah, The World Famous Jungle Cruise. Well, I still like the canoes anyways.

Daily Photo Tour - Row, Row, Row, Your Canoe

The Rivers of America, midday, during the summer, brings back some of the most vivid memories of being at Disneyland as a kid. The refreshing spray of the water as you canoe, the cool wind in your hair as you sail, and the smell of clam chowder breezing through the air as you cruise passed the New Orleans facade, just to name a few. But most importantly the feeling of being somewhere else. When you trek back into the wilderness along the Rivers of America, you don't even feel like you are in Disneyland. It is like a dream within a dream; very similar to the movie, "Inception." When you enter Disneyland, you leave reality. And when you leave the docks in Frontierland, you suddenly float away into a world that allows you to forget about the bustling crowds at Disneyland, and relax in a world immersed in adventure.
